Legal Information System
The main objectives of Legal Information System follows:
- Establish and maintain a website dedicated to Supreme Court
Judgments to date;
- Periodically publish compact disks containing all SC Judgments;
- Establish equipment and expertise to use the NBA web site and
NBA published CDs;
at NBA units in selected appellate courts and districts
- Train NBA nominated lawyers to function as information focal
point in each of above unites;
Legal Literacy
NEBA is also conducting ' Legal Literacy' interaction
in remote areas of country. After identifying requirement of local
communities, providing the appropriate information about laws to
the community is objective of such program.
Publications of basic booklets
To let the general people know about law NEBA has
been publishing booklets on various issues. Such booklets have a
good reputation and NEBA has been receiving regular request from
various NGO/INGOs for supplying of such booklets. ' Law, We must
Know' for general information and ' Me and My Rights' for women
are most popular one.
Training Lawyers
NEBA has been also involved in various training for
member lawyers. ' Basic Skills for Lawyers'; training for new lawyers
covering area of communication skills, negotiation, client interviewing,
examination of witness, presentation skills and oral argument skills
are being regularly conducted by NEBA. Recently training manual
on ' Basic Skills for Lawyers' is published by NEBA.
